Record Review and Destruction Procedure

The student’s record is permanent. Records are reviewed annually and any non-essential or inaccurate materials are removed and destroyed. Except for the permanent transcript data which is transferred to disk, the paper copy of permanent records of students not enrolled for five years from the date of last enrollment shall be destroyed as specified in the “Records, Retention and Disposition Schedule for Institutions in the North Carolina Community College System.”
