Federal Student Right-to-Know Act and the Higher Education Act of 1965
In compliance with the Student Right-to-Know Act of 1990 and the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, Halifax Community College provides information regarding student outcomes and institutional performance to current and prospective students, parents, employees, and the public.
The College annually makes available information concerning:
- Graduation and completion rates
- Retention and persistence rates
- Transfer-out rates, where applicable
- Financial aid information
- Campus safety and security information
- Academic programs and accreditation
- Cost of attendance and tuition and fees
- Student diversity and enrollment statistics
- Gainful Employment and Financial Value Transparency information, where applicable
- Student rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Graduation, retention, and transfer data are reported in accordance with federal guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Education and are available through the College's Consumer Information webpage and the U.S. Department of Education's College Navigator website.
Students and prospective students may request a paper copy of any consumer information disclosure by contacting the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, the Financial Aid Office, or the Registrar's Office.
Additional consumer information disclosures are available on the College's website and include information related to financial assistance, voter registration, campus crime statistics, student outcomes, and institutional policies.
