Student Organizations

There is more to life than books and classes at Halifax Community College. Activities outside the classroom are also very important. The College offers a wide variety of social and cultural opportunities, which, as well as being enjoyable, highlight the learning experience. Halifax Community College offers its students the opportunity to participate in several student organizations. The following organizations are on campus:

• Student Government Association (SGA)
• Phi Theta Kappa
• HCC Student Ambassadors
• Student Nurses' Association

All student activities are open to students on a non-discriminatory basis, and students are expected to demonstrate responsible behavior at College-sponsored events on or off campus. Fundraising by student organizations is permitted but must follow College rules, including limits on raffles and restrictions on food sales to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
