Jurisdiction
This Code of Conduct applies to:
1. The behavior of all students and registered student organizations on campus. The definition of all students includes any student admitted, registered, and attending classes offered by HCC, including Career and College Program for high school students.
2. The off-campus behavior of students and registered student organizations in direct connection with the use of college resources, including the campus intra net or internet network; academic course requirements, such as internships, field trips or experiential learning activities; any activity supporting the pursuit of a diploma, degree, or certificate; any activity sponsored, conducted or authorized by HCC or any registered student organization.
3. Any behavior that poses a significant risk of destroying the property of HCC or endangers the health or safety of members of the HCC community, including students, faculty, staff, and members of the general public, while participating in HCC events or activities.
4. Off-campus conduct that has a negative impact on the college, including threats of violence or bodily damage, unlawful harassment, or any conduct that has a negative impact or puts the college's community (including students and employees) in danger.
5. Any behavior that has the potential to disturb the College's educational environment.
